In Boss Man, complete a variety of minigames to get promoted and scale the corporate ladder, and beyond!

Description:
Do you ever feel powerless? Slaving away at a dead-end job? Blaming your boss? Blaming the system?
...Well the system works PERFECTLY!! And the problem can only be you of course. Time to get to work - that puddle of sick won't mop itself!
Work your way up the ladder, reach for the stars (and beyond), and never feel powerless again. All you need is a can do attitude!
Note: This game is entirely a work of fiction, including the portrayal of meritocracy.
Rules:
Tasks pop into the world in random places. Reach them before you run out of time! ...or your boss might decide they don't need you anymore.
Each task puts you into a minigame that you need to complete before the time runs out. On successful completion, you gain XP. You don't lose anything on failing, but your other tasks will not wait around, so be fast!
If you can manage to fill up the XP bar, you'll climb up the corporate ladder.
If it drops below 0, you get demoted to your previous title.
Controls (World):
- WASD to move
- press E when near tasks to start minigames
[Known Issue]: Pause button [ESC] does not work as intended at the moment and brakes certain game mechanics. We recommend you refrain from using it.
Controls (Minigame):
Each minigame has unique sets of rules so the controls can change around depending on which one you're playing. For now the following ones are implemented:
- Click Mouse left-click to interact with clickable objects
- Click and hold mouse left-click to drag certain objects
[Known Issue]: Trackpad users might not be able to complete minigames with click and hold controls. We recommend using a mouse for the intended experience.
Additional Notes:
[Known Issue]: When playing on windowed, the minigame countdown might be outside the visible screen area. Playing on full-screen is recommended, but if you're monitors' aspect ratio is not 16:9, the sides or top might get chopped off a little bit. (Sorry!)
Our original plan had a minimum 3 minigames per stage randomly popping up. In the end, though we had the designs, we only had enough time to implement 1 per stage.
Halfway through development our main artist had to step down due to illness, which is why we brought another artist onboard to complete our vision.
We'll continue working on this project until the game reaches its full potential, but in the meantime we hope you'll enjoy this demo!
